Detailed Description
The 40ft shipping container with three roll-up side doors offers a modified configuration of the standard intermodal container design. It is manufactured from corten steel, a high-strength weathering steel alloy that develops a protective oxide layer when exposed to weather. This material composition reduces maintenance requirements and extends service life.
The three roll-up side doors represent a significant modification from standard container configurations. These doors roll upward into the container ceiling, creating unobstructed openings along the sidewalls. Each door is operated manually with spring-assisted mechanisms. The doors are fitted with weather seals and locking systems to maintain security when closed.
Container construction includes reinforced corner posts with ISO-standard corner castings. These castings enable standard lifting and securing procedures using container handling equipment such as reach stackers, forklifts, and spreaders. The roof and sidewalls are constructed from corrugated steel panels welded to the frame structure.
The interior features a marine-grade plywood floor installed over steel cross members. The floor is treated for moisture resistance and designed to support distributed loads. Forklift pockets are not present in the floor structure, requiring ramp access for wheeled equipment.
The rear end of the container is fitted with double swing doors. These doors open to approximately 270 degrees and are equipped with anti-rack plates and locking bars with security seals. A door threshold plate protects the floor edge during loading operations.
Ventilation is provided by passive vents located in the end panels. These vents allow air exchange while preventing water ingress. The container interior is not insulated or climate-controlled.
