Detailed Description

This 7-foot shipping container represents a practical storage investment for property owners requiring secure, weather-protected space. The unit measures approximately 7 feet in external length, with external width and height conforming to standard intermodal container dimensions for compatibility with existing transport and placement equipment.

The container shell is constructed from corrugated weathering steel (Corten steel) manufactured to withstand outdoor exposure. This material develops a protective oxide patina over time that resists further corrosion, eliminating the requirement for ongoing painting or surface treatment. All structural welds are continuous and factory-inspected to ensure weatherproof integrity at seams and joints.

The integrated personnel door provides convenient access for daily retrieval and storage tasks. Unlike full container doors that require significant clearance to open, the personnel door can be used in tight spaces and reduces the volume of conditioned air or interior environment loss during brief entry periods. The door includes a three-point locking system for enhanced security against unauthorized access .

A fixed-position window has been factory-installed in the container sidewall. The window glazing is impact-resistant and positioned to maximize interior illumination while maintaining structural wall integrity. The window installation includes interior and exterior weather seals to prevent water penetration.

The flooring consists of marine-grade plywood treated for moisture and insect resistance, supported by the container’s structural cross members. Flooring material is rated for distributed loads up to standard container specifications .

All exterior surfaces receive factory-applied rust-inhibitive primer. The container leaves the manufacturing facility without markings, graphics, or promotional materials, presenting a neutral appearance suitable for various settings.

Intended Applications

This container serves multiple storage functions across various settings:

Residential Use: Property owners utilize these units for lawn and garden equipment storage, seasonal item containment, workshop space, or as supplemental household storage.

Commercial Use: Construction sites employ containers for tool and material storage. Retail locations use units for overflow inventory, promotional display storage, or seasonal merchandise containment.

Agricultural Use: Farms and rural properties use containers for equipment storage, feed and supply containment, or as weatherproof shelters for various materials.

Recreational Use: The unit accommodates recreational vehicle equipment storage, camping gear containment, or as a secure enclosure for watercraft accessories.

The window feature makes this container particularly suitable for applications where interior visibility is desired, such as workshops where natural light reduces lighting requirements, or storage of items requiring occasional visual inspection without door opening.
