This 53-foot high cube shipping container offers approximately 3,800 cubic feet of enclosed space with one foot of additional vertical clearance compared to standard 8 ft 6 in containers. The unit is suitable for active transport via rail or chassis, as well as static ground-level storage. Construction consists of COR-TEN weathering steel, which forms a protective patina over time.
This container is classified as multi-trip, indicating it has been utilized for multiple transport journeys since its point of manufacture. The unit meets structural requirements for continued intermodal freight transport. The container may exhibit cosmetic wear consistent with regular service, including surface rust, paint scratches, or minor dents. These characteristics do not impact the structural integrity.
The double doors at one end open to the full width of the container for loading materials or equipment. Vents are integrated into the container design to allow airflow throughout the interior space. The plywood floor provides a surface elevated above ground level. Corner castings at each corner allow for lifting, stacking, and securement during transport.
The 53-foot length is commonly used in domestic North American transport networks, particularly for rail and road applications. The high cube configuration accommodates taller loads and provides increased interior volume for storage applications.
