20ft Hazardous Goods Bunded Container

20ft Hazardous Goods Bunded Container

Designed for the secure storage and transport of hazardous materials, this 20ft bunded container provides a primary containment system for spill management. Its construction focuses on compliance with dangerous goods regulations, offering a practical solution for facilities managing chemicals, flammable liquids, or other regulated substances. The unit is built to withstand rigorous industrial use while maintaining the integrity of the stored materials and the safety of the surrounding environment .

Key Features

• Integrated Bunded Floor: The floor is fabricated as a liquid-tight containment area, designed to capture potential leaks or spills from stored hazardous goods, preventing environmental contamination .

• Compliant Design: Engineered in accordance with ISO standards for dimensional and structural integrity, facilitating intermodal transport by sea, road, or rail .

• Ventilation System: Equipped with multiple vents positioned to allow for continuous airflow, aiding in the dispersal of fumes and the reduction of condensation buildup inside the container .

• Secure Lockable Access: Fitted with a multi-point locking system integrated into the door mechanism, providing security against unauthorized access to the contents .

• Durable Construction: Built from corrosion-resistant steel (such as Corten steel), the structure is engineered to endure harsh weather conditions and the rigors of repeated handling and transport .

Detailed Description
The 20ft Hazardous Goods Bunded Container is a specialized unit distinct from standard dry van containers. Its primary function is to mitigate the risks associated with handling dangerous goods. The defining feature is the bunded floor, which acts as a critical safety barrier. Should a drum or container leak during storage or transit, the bund contains the liquid within its volume, stopping it from escaping into the external environment .

Constructed from high-tensile steel, the container is engineered for structural reliability. It is designed to be stacked when loaded, maximizing storage efficiency in depots or on vessels. The external surfaces are treated to resist corrosion, ensuring long-term durability. Furthermore, the inclusion of ventilation grilles is a standard safety feature, promoting air exchange that helps manage fumes and maintain interior conditions .

Technical Specifications

Compatibility / Intended Use
