20ft Custom Shipping Container – Roller Shutter RAL 7035 Respray

20ft Custom Shipping Container – Roller Shutter RAL 7035 Respray

This 20-foot shipping container has been refurbished and refinished to provide a durable and secure storage or workspace solution. It features a convenient roller shutter door for easy access and a resprayed finish in RAL 7035 (light grey) to improve corrosion resistance and provide a professional appearance . Suitable for commercial, industrial, and residential applications, this unit offers a robust structure that is both weather-resistant and transportable.

Key Features

• Roller Shutter Door: A roller shutter door is fitted for space-efficient access, allowing the container to be placed in tighter locations where a traditional hinged door might be impractical.

• RAL 7035 Respray Finish: The container has been prepared and resprayed in RAL 7035 (industrial light grey). This coating is applied to protect the underlying steel and provide a clean, uniform look .

• Durable Steel Construction: Built from weathering steel (Corten), commonly used in the freight industry to withstand the rigors of transport and outdoor storage.

• Ventilation: Passive ventilation vents are integrated into the container design to reduce condensation and improve airflow when sealed.

• One-Trip Origin: Sourced as a “one-trip” unit, meaning it was used for a single delivery from overseas manufacturing facilities, resulting in a structure with minimal prior wear .

Detailed Description

This 20ft shipping container offers a versatile and secure solution for a variety of needs, ranging from on-site material storage to a compact workshop or even a pop-up retail space. The unit is constructed from 14-gauge Corten steel, which is engineered to withstand harsh weather conditions and rough handling during transport. After its initial use, the container has been thoroughly inspected, cleaned, and repaired where necessary to ensure structural integrity .

The defining feature of this unit is the roller shutter door. Unlike standard swing doors that require clearance to open outward, this mechanism rolls up into a housing above the opening, maximizing usable space directly in front of the container. This is particularly beneficial for loading and unloading vehicles or when the container is positioned in an area with limited space. The door operates smoothly and can be secured with padlocks or a crossbar lock for enhanced security.

Furthermore, this container has been given a comprehensive respray in RAL 7035. This process involves preparing the existing surfaces and applying a protective topcoat. This service is performed to remove superficial rust, unify the appearance of the unit, and extend its service life by providing a fresh barrier against the elements . While it is a used unit, the combination of one-trip origins and a resprayed finish results in a product that is both aesthetically improved and highly functional.
