20ft Used Shipping and Storage Containers – Durable Steel Construction

These 20-foot used shipping containers offer a practical solution for on-site storage, material containment, or various project applications. Constructed from heavy-duty COR-TEN steel, they are designed to withstand the elements while providing secure enclosure for tools, equipment, or inventory. Eight units are currently available for purchase, sourced from decommissioned commercial shipping fleets. Each unit has been inspected to ensure structural integrity and is sold as a standard used container .

Key Features

• Robust Steel Construction: Built with weathering COR-TEN steel, these containers are engineered for durability and resistance to corrosion .

• Standard 20ft Dimensions: Conforms to standard intermodal shipping dimensions, allowing for consistent planning regardless of space or transport requirements.

• Secure Locking Mechanism: Each container is equipped with lockboxes on the doors to accommodate standard locking devices, providing security for stored goods.

• Ventilated Design: Passive vents are located on the upper corners of the container to promote airflow and reduce condensation build-up.

• Weather-Resistant: The doors are fitted with rubber weather-sealing gaskets to create a barrier against rain and wind when closed.

• Wooden Flooring: The floor is constructed with treated marine-grade plywood, designed to support concentrated loads and resist moisture damage .

Detailed Description

These used shipping containers provide a straightforward and functional option for businesses and individuals requiring additional storage capacity. They are commonly utilized by construction firms for securing materials at job sites, by warehouses for overflow inventory, and by property owners for residential or agricultural storage. Because these are retired from active cargo service, they exhibit the cosmetic wear typical of transit, including minor dents, scratches, and surface rust. This patina does not compromise the structural integrity of the unit but is a characteristic of used equipment .

The double doors at one end open fully to 270 degrees, allowing for wide access when loading pallets, machinery, or bulky items. The interior is a hollow, open space with a flat steel wall construction. No modifications have been made to these units, leaving them as a blank slate for custom shelving, partitioning, or other specific uses.

It is intended for ground-level, stationary use. Proper site preparation, including a level and compacted base (such as gravel or concrete), is recommended to support the unit and facilitate drainage. As with all used containers, potential buyers are encouraged to conduct a physical inspection prior to purchase to verify that the unit meets their specific visual and structural standards.
